Pressure and oxygen delivery
The amount of oxygen dissolved in plasma rises as inspired oxygen pressure increases. Medical hyperbaric treatment therefore requires a clearly defined combination of chamber pressure, oxygen concentration, exposure time and professional supervision.
- Mild or flexible chambers: These systems usually operate at lower pressures and their technical characteristics, breathing gas and intended use can differ from those of medical hyperbaric equipment.
